Lluís Gómez & Maribel Rivero

Lluís and Maribel live in Barcelona, Spain and work as a team. They had the difficult task to run the first Kids On Bluegrass Europe workshop and it was a success!

You can meet them on many European stages with Flamengrass and other bands.

They also run the reknown Al Ras Festival in Barcelona. See their Bluegrass Kids page.

They speak Spanish, English and a little bit of other languages, and their smiles when teaching tell a lot!

Petr Brandejs

Petr Brandejs lives in Czech Republic and is a wonderful banjo player. He is also the president of the Czech Bluegrass association and works a lot for Bluegrass in his country.

He taught our 2023 workshop and it was amazing how the kids responded. In less than an hour, the 14 kids from 8 countries were playing together. The Petr Brandejs Band is among the best in Europe.

Ross McKerrell

Ross McKerrell was born in St Andrews, Scotland, and lives in Fontainebleau, south of Paris. He plays several instruments in a few bands: the String Tone Poets, Dixie Wailers and Hokum Sheiks.

He speaks English, German, French and Spanish. He also has a long experience of teaching, and as 2024 invited teacher immediately made contact with the kids, his energy and humour catching the young musicians.

Alex Neff

Alex learned bluegrass fiddle when he was a kid in Pennsylvania from playing with his family.

For over twenty years, he has lived in Strasbourg, France where he has played with the Mart O' Pickers, Four Star Bluegrass, Steppin' Stones and Mad Meadows.

He speaks English and fluent French. In addition to the fiddle, he also plays guitar, mandolin, clawhammer banjo and bass.

For the 2025 workshop, Alex Neff made 4 excellent teaching videos on the Jam Hall channel. These were of great help for the kids who could prepare before the first day. His smiles and kindness made it and the 2025 workshop was a great success.

Ti' Pierre

Ti' Pierre is a French musician, and speaks also English. He is the promoter of the Kids On Bluegrass Europe Project. He plays the six Bluegrass instruments (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, dobro, bass) and ukulele.

Ti' Pierre runs the Armadelle Bluegrass and Old Time Center in Romagnieu near the French Alps and teaches several Bluegrass workshops as a certified Wernick Method Teacher.

He is also member of the Jam Hall association board, and the European Bluegrass Music Association Board. He speaks French and English.
